About Utsavgiri
Wire-wound magnetics from Chennai, part of the Elcompo Group.
UTSAVGIRI COMPUTERS AND ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIES PRIVATE LIMITED was incorporated in Madras on 14 July 1986 (Certificate of Incorporation No. 13205 of 1986) and is part of the Elcompo Group of Chennai, whose companies have made wire-wound components since 1973.
We design and manufacture custom magnetics (SMPS, LLC and planar transformers, lamination transformers, common-mode and differential chokes, PFC and high-current inductors, and current transformers) for power-supply, industrial, lighting, energy and electronics manufacturers in India and abroad.
Our history in high voltage
Through a technology transfer from a leading European TV maker, the group built TV flyback transformers with secondaries above 15 kV, using 0.03 mm wire and epoxy encapsulation. Our technical leader Mr Abdul was recognised for permanently solving a rare high-voltage failure, explaining the fix in theory as well as in demonstration.
